Usually, when shooting on a performance stage, you have no influence on the lighting or choreography. In this case however, I was able to design, install and program all of the lighting. 8 x Martin Mac700 and 8 x Martin Mac 575, some conventional light and a group of amazing young dancers...

My favourite twelve of 2013…
07/12: July

In my day-to-day business, I usually work in a small team (and often travel alone), however in July and August, I was able to take my family with me to Europe. I looked through all my professional images from the time, but if I'm honest, what I remember the most are the moments involving my wife and kids. It was the first time for them to visit my homeland, and we traveled from the Swiss Alps to Venice, Berlin, and Paris!

My select for July is therefore more of a representation of a great time with my loved ones, and since it is the 24th of December today, it is only fitting to forget about "work" for a moment, and think about those we love and cherish the most!

Images look great online, but it's still nowhere near a large print. I miss the fine details, especially for images like the one below of Australian beauty Cat Delany, my pick for May 2013.

Call me old-fashioned, but I just love my images hanging on walls. It shows the details I spend so much time and effort on, and it also gives photographs weight and value...

In February, I met a lot of great and beautiful people, and it was difficult to pick only one image. I selected this image as a representation of a great production, rather than as the single best image (I've posted other images from the same shoot before, so I post this "new" one instead).
